Default Looking for help with Predator

Just purchased a predator programmer. I have a 2001 vert A4 with B&B Prt, xpipe , granatelli cold air and mat sensor. What should I set shift points at? Set cooling fan? Trans firmness? If somene has similer set up can you let me know how to set the peramiters. I new to programing and what to get yhe most out of it. Thanks (I also have 160 stat on order forgot to add in list)

place your Vette in "1" - take it up to redline and note the MPH. Set the 1to2 shift 3MPH below what you noted.

Place your Vette in "2" - and take it up to redline - note the MPH and do the same.

If you're brave; place your A4 in "3" - and take it up to redline in third gear...

Obviously you can do all the gears MPH "noting" during the same drive - then make changes for all shifts at the same time with your Predator.

Set cooling fan?
unless you have gone to a lower temp thermostat than what was original - there's no useable benefit from altering the fan turn on/off temps. If you frequent the drag strip, you can lower the turn-off temps about 5 to 10 degrees ; but again... with a stock thermostat there is little to gain.

Trans firmness
that's a personal taste setting. I'd run it up to 15% on the 1to2 shift and 5% on the 2to3 shift - take it out and see if you think it's too much or not. Remember that increasing line pressure will increase the rate of wear of your A4 tranny.

there's also a shift "length of time" setting (I don't remember the Predator term used for this setting) - decrease it by 7% on all shifts.

these are all just suggested starting points.
Enjoy the fun of tweaking your PCM programing.
