Default Programmer for the garage or the track

Just wanted to let corvette people know about a programmer that I think is a great tool. After making several mods to my corvette I installed a Vinci Highperformance cam, all the mods were from this shop, now I neededPCM programming.

I got a Vinci portable programmer the tune brought all the mods working as one. The car is a blast to drive with no drivability problems. A couple of things I about the tuner is reading and erasing codes, being able to adjust timing and fuel curves, changing the rev limiter and it goes with you to the drags or dyno shop. Hope this info is helpful.

I take it from your post that this doesn't do wideband O2, is that correct? One of these days, someone will come out with an integrated solution that does wideband, datalogging, and tuning. At least I've got my fingers crossed

A wideband O2 meter is used for the other half of tuning. You need to know what the Air/Fuel ratio is to know how to change the existing tuning. The wideband is used to tell you what the AFR is doing as you acclerate.

HPtuners is pretty close to their release of ver. 1.5 (suppose to be this week) which will integrate their tuner/logger with most O2 WB sensors. I went with the LM-1 WB (by innovative) and just waiting for the HPtuner release 1.5. It is almost all-encompassing. Check it out www.hptuners.com. It will be the cheapest all around package released to date at least for the moment. Hope this helps.
