Default new tune after lifter install?!

Hey Guys, my car idles very fast (2k) until a few seconds after it comes to a stop. Here is some hisory of car...

1.5 month ago, car is fine. I beat on it some, notice a strange tapping noise, and car idles fast. Pull heads, put comp-r lifters in, noise gone, car runs great. NO high idle.

2 weeks later, I have another tapping noise. Pull heads, put regular comp lifters in. I fired it up, and it idles VERY high. I did initially have a hose disconnected. I unplugged pcm and it still has the high idle speed! It is intermittent too, although it mostly revs high as opposed to down low.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check for a vacuum leak around the intake?Sometimes it's a good idea to replace the intake gaskets because they get to flat and don't seal correctly.

Good Luck!!!

i've yet to have an intake gasket, they seem pretty sturdy. i have an 01.

also, it doesn't idle high when the car is stationary. only when i'm moving...

i did idle relearn. we'll see if that helps. i dont think it will
