Default Need help with LS1 edit first time use

I keep getting a comm error. Everything is hooked up the lights are flashing on the adapter and I left the ignition on for ten seconds. What am I missing. Its on a 97 vette. This is the first time I plugged it into the car.

What kind of serial port on your computer? Onboard or USB? If its USB, that's likely the cause. You need to pickup a PCMCIA serial port adapter.

I figured it out. I needed to install a driver for the USB to serial adapter. Everything works great now. I did a read in about 20 min.
