Default ANYONE INTERESTED IN A LAPD DYNO TUNE GP?

Dear Corvetteforum.com Members,

Title says it all! Get the best tuning results at a discounted rate.

If we can get a handful of C5/Z06 vehicles, we may be able to do 3-4 per day.

Post and let us know if this is something you may be interested in.

Thanks!

Shawn

Shawn, great idea; thank you for the offering. I would be interested. I'll make the drive, but schedule is the key for me. What dates are you looking at? I can leave on a Friday afternoon and make a Sat tune session. Feel free to let me know.

98Pace6sp,

We can do it on any given day depending on how many guys are interested. Let's see how many guys we get. We only need around 3-5 guys to get this GP to be a GP.

Thanks!

Shawn, any idea on GP costs? Posting a great price might bring more out of the wood work...

98Pace6sp,

Pricing depends on the quantity.

If we can get at least 5 people in on this GP, we can offer it at: $450.00 per vehicle. This is a great rate for the type of results our tuning typically gets.

Shawn,
I am looking for a re-tune. Can you modify the shift points of my A4 at both partial and wide open throttle?
take care,
john

I might be interested, especially if the price is right (low enough for me to afford ) . What kind of results are typical, all I have currently is a Blackwing, and soon I will have an exhaust. Do we have to have it retunned after a while or is a one time deal that lasts the life of the car, sorry for all the questions but one more, how is gas mileage affected? thanks -Mike

oh yea, I have an 04 a4 c5

jam999999,

Yes, we can set your shift points to where they should be. We will test the car on the dyno from a dead stop to 4th gear once the shift points are set to make sure they are perfect. We have already done more than a few A4 cars.

magelin,

Each car is different so the gains are different. You will see a noticeable improvement over what you have currently. You will only have to tune the car one time and that will last the lifetime of the car.

Thanks!

Shawn

I have always wondered is it worth while to dyno tune a basicly stock 99 A4
only mod is Blackwing. It would be worth it to get rid of tranny lag alone!

Shawn is it of any value to do this?

ROBERTN99,

It is always worthwhile. We have tuned bone stock cars and gotten awesome results.

You will see power AND setting the shift points where they should be will make a world of difference!

I'd pay damn near $450 if y'all sold a good book to teach us diy LS1Edit and HPTuner guys to do what y'all do. Just think, you could write a book one time, and then sit back and let the profits roll in for years and even decades without having to do anything else.

I doubt this is going to happen, so do y'all at least leave the PCM unlocked so further changes can be made without having to drive back out to LA?

leaftye,

Yes, we leave the PCMs unlocked. We can also tune it for your specific driving altitude so the car can run it's best where you live.

If we wrote a book on tuning, it will be a very long book and it would take a long time to write.

Shawn
