Do i need to be concerned with pcm (tranny code) 0705?
ANY info here would be greatly appreciated. Do i have to remedy this code if the tranny works fine (as it does) and what is the significance here? I never really threw this code until I had to downsize my gear from 3.73 to 3.42 (after recently) breaking the rear end diff housing on my old Getrag 3.73s!!
What is this code all about and what happpens (if anything) if i simply ignore it, etc.

It's a code that indicates something amiss with the park, neutral position, and backup switch which includes a range selector switch. That state of the switch positions should agree with the way you position the gear shift, P, R, N, OD, 3, 2, or 1. The code sets when the switch is in a state that doesn't indicate one of those positions. This could mean a misadjusted shift cable/lever, a failed switch, a damaged circuit or circuit component, or even just a poor connection somewhere in the circuits in question. The freeze frame data stored when the code set might or might not have information as to what state the 4 inputs in question were, I don't know. If it does that might give you someplace to start looking. Has it been doing this since you swapped gears? If it has (and even if it hasn't) I'd trot it right back to the shop.

The PCM will be unhappy about what position it thinks the selector is in. I've no idea what the behavior would be. In my case the consequence would be that I would be highly annoyed, regardless of any other observable change in behavior, and would get it fixed. My bet is it's something simple.
