Default Going from 3:15 to 3.42. Reprogramming needed?

I'm a little confused. What does this message mean?
I've always heard that you must reprogram, when changing rear end gear
on a A4.

Please help me out

The Rescale for a Corvette is not for the speedometer. Changing gears does not affect the speedometer. Scaling will make adjustments to the shift points. You may want to make further adjustments to your liking. Wait until you drive for a while to decide that. The important change done by scaling is to set the proper number of pulses expected. If scaling is not done the the PCM will think the trans is slipping and put you in safe mode.

The problem you may encounter is hiting the rev limit before it poopies at
wot. All you can do is try it you may be ok without programming.
