Default Which fuel pump?

I built a LS3 that should be right about 550 when tuned. I know the stock pump will do up to just about 525 safely. I would rather go bigger than be just enough. I am looking for a direct replacement that will hold 575-600hp. This is my daily/road course car.

2002 - Auto - LS3 -

42lb injectors Flow Rate: 37.1 lbs/Hr @ 43.5 psi
Type: EV1 (Jetronic/Minitimer Connector)
Impedance: 11-18 ohms

The LPE L710650197 unit from all that I researched was my top pick, but I cannot find it anywhere. The Walbro 450 looks good as well, but I am trying to find out if the stock pump is a center or offset unit.

I saw a post from someone doing 600whp with forced induction and an Aeromotive 340lph a little while back, so 450 seems like way more than enough..

I'm trying to do this as much plug and play as possible. I got a name of Chris johnson that makes custom fuel pumps, anyone ever hear of his work?

Have you looked at Racetronix? They make a setup that sounds right for your application, I put one in my car last year.

Sure have, but can't seem to get anyone to get back to me for over two weeks now. If that is their version of customer service, I don't need them.

Can't blame you for that, they won't answer the phone?

I looked up Fore stuff for you. But they are way high end geared more to turbo and blower 3 pump systems. Way over kill.

Buddy made 600whp on the stock C5 pump. Not sure why you think it’s inadequate?

Im not seeing issues with mine but prob only 525 or so. Just that my injectors go past 100% DC, but the AFR is solid.

Just going by posted numbers from manufacturers and some from real world. From what I have found, 525 with a stock pump is about where you want to stop.

We do not have any outstanding messages here with regards to a 2002 C5 fuel system.
We are short staffed due to a Covid lockdown and sickness so many people are working from home.
The best way to get a response is to fill out our web contact form here: https://racetronix.com/contact/
Alternatively you may reach out to any one of our many dealers on CF who actively support our product line.

The RFPK-007 97-02 C5 fuel system that we once offered is NLA because TI/Walbro discontinued the plastic parts used to assemble the module (bucket).
That being said we still offer all the other parts to upgrade the factory module less the plastic parts.
These plastic parts have become brittle over time which creates a much higher risk of cracking during the installation process.
Above average technical skills are required to successfully re & re the fuel pump and associated components.
Typically these kits are only being sold to Racetronix dealers for in-house installation.

We are developing a new superior solution but that won't be available until summer 2022.

I installed RFPK-007 racetronix kit last year on my c5 with 442 stroker. 530 rwhp, LS3 injectors. Plenty of fuel with room to grow. No complaints here.

My mechanic did the swap, but there were no modifications during install. during removal we did break the plastic clip on original one.

AEM has a nice fuel pump i but ive never had experience with them other then their wideband which worked great. One is e85 and gasoline compatible while the other is just gasoline. I was looking at one for my vehicle as well. racetronix has nice kits. I was looking at installing the aeromotive 340 pump on my 98 turbo z28 and turning up the boost to 16+ lbs but never got that far had to part out the vehicle. Seems smarter then putting 2-3 255 pumps with hobbs switch. I did use a racetronix 255 pump with their relay harness on my 98 z28 turbo with 9lbs with a trunk mounted battery in 2012.

I proposed using one of those Aeromotive 340s for a 454 motor swap that I've got coming, and the shop owner said he'd had poor luck with them. Since then I've seen some complaints on LS1Tech about these pumps being short lived.

I've had one in a Subaru for about 40k miles and it's been fine, and I never heard any complaints about them in that community. Subaru uses a PWM fuel pump controller, so it's not running at 100% unless it needs to be, and that might be important. C5 fuel pumps run at 100% all the time.
