1999 C5 expectations
Hey everyone,
During all of this virus business I have gotten bored.
My current setup is a pretty stock 1999 FRC, obx longtube headers, cat delete, x pipe, B&B bullet mufflers, Vararam intake and mail order tune. Its a fun bombing around car but ready for a little more.
Just purchased a LS6 intake and tsp's bald eagle cam 112 lsa cam kit. I got the timing chain, oil pump, valve springs, and push rods to go with it. After I get this all installed I will get it dyno tuned. I am keeping stock heads.
I was thinking about grabbing up a 85mm maf and possibly an underdrive pulley but it doesn't sound like that would change too much.
What should my expectations be for output results?

I will throw a guess out there for 380 to 400rwhp on a dynojet ......

You will not get the full benefit of your cam and especially the LT headers without a retune--You are leaving lots of HP on the table---I have seen cars where they installed LT headrs and the eng made LESS hp without re tuning It needs a retune-- LT headrs move the front 02's as much as 3 ft aft consequently they do not heat up properly and you eng runs pig rich Rub your fingers in the exhaust pipe I am certain they will be covered in black soot--A cam makes this even worse--
