Long tubes and new dyno tune
03 Z06 w/long tubes, high flow cats, x pipe, vararam. Dyno'd 350rwhp 336tq on a dyno dynamics dyno. Conversion to what that number would be on a dyno jet was 392rwhp. Car runs great, big improvement with the headers. The wideband had to be placed in the tailpipe due to not being able to access front o2 bungs. They are a pain to get to, the header bolts have to be removed to access. The tuner compensated for the skewed numbers though. Overall I'm happy with the outcome. Up next is a TB intake and cam! Ill have the dyno sheet later if anyone wants to check it out.

I know all dyno brands can read differently---But a 42 RWHP difference I would question--Does not seem possible---Dyno operators can make the dyno read high or low depending on what they input into the air density factors --Especially if your dyno guy is also tuning your car---trust me they will always make more HP because it would be bad for business if their tune made less HP----
That being said --your car with your mods should make close to 400 RWHP--LT headers often skew your WOT AFR ratio My experience is that without tuning the AFR will go rich
That's why LT headers without tuning will often show less than stock HP or very little gains until tuned to lean it down--
I would be curious as to what both dyno operators showed for your WOT AFR with the wideband

No I don't think there was any fudging of numbers. He is a really reputable tuner. The brand dyno he uses reads significantly lower than a dynojet. When my car was first tuned I had shorty headers and the rest of the exhaust was stock, it made 317rwhp after the tune. Adding long tubes, xpipe and high flow cats plus tune im now at 350rwhp. So the numbers seem about right to me. U can youtube other c5z's tuned on a dyno dynamics dyno making less power with about the same mods.

Those numbers are spot on for the Dyno Dynamics dyno.
They read 13-15% lower than a typical Dynojet.
I have been running one of these for the last 9 months.

Good tuner! He knows his stuff.
A dyno is a tool to measure improvements. People get f'n way to caught up in the numbers.
Tuned my buddies single turbo 408 LS on our dyno. It made 715 to the wheels. He was disappointed. When he drove it, it scared him.
I tuned a TT 433" hemi Jeep SRT on ours. It made 770. The owner took it to a dynojet. Made over 900. Then they upped the boost (never give the customer a boost ****.....)
It made 1100.
Then they blew it up. We didn't tune it past 18 psi.....and warned them so.
People who don't understand different dynos, ought not to comment.

No problem at all man... couldn't be happier, the car runs great I get compliments on the power all the time. Eventually I am going to do a cam, tb and intake, I will be heading back your way when I do!
