Default need help with 97-2002 ecm re pin

hi, so I am re pinning my 97 corvette ecm to a 2002 ecm. I have both harness pinnout diagrams for both 97 and 2002. I have figured out where everything needs to go accept for 4 wires. the first wire that I have in my 97 pcm is circuit number 1982 evap purge vacuum switch signal whitch I cannot find anywhere in the 2002 ecm pinnouts and I have a circuit number 1310 evap canister vent solenoid control in the 2002 pcm diagram that I cannot find in the 97 diagram. I also understand that there is no vacuum purge switch on the 2002 corvette whitch is why this is so confusing for me.

also I have a circuit 1704 sensor ground jumper in my 97 diagram that I cannot find in the 02 diagram.

the forth wire I cannot find is in the 02 wiring diagram and it is circuit 890 fuel tank pressure sensor signal.

those are all of the wires that I am unable to figure out what to do with. any help would be much appreciated as well as if any one knows what wire I have to cut/ remove for the fuel guage to work, I was told that it was a grey wire but there are 2 grey wires that go to the fuel pump. thanks in advance for the help!

I have 2002 pcm in my 1998 and have changed it my self. Here is what I did with those circuits. There is no evap purge vent solenoid in the 1997 car so do not connect anything to that pin. Also there is no fuel tank pressure sensor in the 1997 car so you cant connect anything there either. Just program those DTC:s out. Ground jumper 1704 is used to connect sensor grounds together and 2002 pcm does that internally so leave it unconnected. In the 2002 car is no vacuum purge switch, so just left that wire unconnected.

To get fuel gauge working, leave wire for circuit no 598 unconnected. It is voltage feed to right side fuel level sender and it is only used in the 1997 ja 1998 cars.

thanks allot for the info, as it turns out both cars have a vacuum purge switch but the location, wire color and circuit numbers are different, in the 97 it is circuit 1982 and in the 02 it is circuit 1310, but other then that everything else you said makes sense. thanks for the help

Well, looks like you got the answers you needed.
Once you have it finished let me know if your fuel gauge is indicating correctly. Mine only goes up to 7/8ths tank at full. I could have a level sensor problem, but would like some feedback from someone else that has done the swap before I start pulling tank parts.

will do, should hopefully have time to finish the re pinning this week and get the car to the shop on the weekend for tuning so I will keep you posted with how the fuel guage works

Appreciate it. I bought this car as a project needing an engine, and I did the PCM conversion at the same time. Never had a full tank until after the conversion, so not sure if the reading problem originated there or already existed.

hey so I got the car all up and running, I am having no issues at all with the fuel gauge. I even filled it all the way up just for you. lol when its full it shows completely full and works as its supposed to. so it looks like your going to have to start looking into why your gauge doesn't read full. sorry man, best of luck. Rob.

hey im having some issues with my check engine light coming on getting a knock sensor code, my tuner is telling me I might have to put in the 2002 style knock sensors? is this true? did you do that?

Well, I think I solved my problem. It had nothing to do with the tuning, PCM or the wiring. Tried the suggested Techron fix and it cleared the problem right up with one bottle.
On to the next gremlin.

I'm running the 97 sensors with no problems.

Sorry to resurrect this older thread but the info here was VERY helpful. I'm going to pull the Blue46 pin (circuit 598) out to get the fuel gauge working correctly. I too had the 1982 circuit issue and found you guys talking about it here. So 97ls2c5Rob.... did you simply plug the brown wire (1982) into the Red45 pin (the 1310 location which was a White wire on the 2002)????? Appreciate the sharing of info...

I changed the 98 PCM to the 2002 PCM so that the tuner can do mo betta with the new supercharger...
