So fed up with electrical gremlins...codes within
To start my corvette is a 2003 z06 with 52,000 miles. Everything started about 4 months ago out of nowhere where fuse 22 popped. Car ran like crap. I changed the fuse and all was good for about 2 weeks. Apparently fuse 22 is related with the wiring harness that comes to the driver's side fuel injectors. The same fuse popped again at the car wash. Replaced the fuse again and has not came back. Next issue was 2 weeks after last fuse went, i had my windows down and pulled the z in the garage. Nothing on my driver's side door would respond. Turned car off waited a minute then started again and then i could put both windows back up. Didnt drive it for a while due to weather.
Then i started to drive it again and all was okay for a bit...until the driver's side door controls stopped working again. This time though my display said "reduced engine power" then "service engine soon" then "service active handling". Also when all these warnings came up all the sudden my gas gauge would go and stay at empty, my temperature gauge would peg to max, and my oil pressure would drop to zero. Also the radio would just shutoff. I pulled codes and noticed LDCM was NO COMM. now i could push on the accordion going from dash to drivers door and temporarily get back the drivers door buttons.
I cleaned the connectors today with electrical parts cleaner and made sure the exposed wire on the module was not damaged. Drove it for about 15 minutes and then got the "reduced engine power" message along with all the other crap.
So as i am about ready to drive this z06 off a cliff, i was hoping with y'all's help and my codes maybe we could figure this out

Thanks for any help you can provide. I've almost got this thing paid off and don't want to deal with a bunch of electrical crap

Been there done that man, I've finally worked all of mine out. I had a problem very similar to yours and it ended up being a loose ground connection on the engine block. If you check the block on the passengers side of the engine, just above the starter there's a ground connected to the engine block. Make sure she's tight!

these intermittent electrical gremlins are a real pain, I had an electronics tech tell me, when the Feds legislated the Lead out of solder, the connections get brittle over time, almost like what we used to call cold solder joints… we went through and resoldered every board and connecter an that cured my phantom issues
