Crank Balancer
Ok, my next question ....
Original crank balancer (23kmi) came off w/o any issue. Barely any wear from the seal on the hub. I purchased a new OEM spare to replace it.
The question is, since the original is in good shape should I reuse it to ensure no vibration issues, or just install the new. I measure the axial runout of the old to be 0.032" at the perimeter and the new is 0.015". Couldn't measure the radial runout w/o a shaft to spin it on.
BTW: Toddk has a good writeup on transferring balancer weights:

What's the recommended procedure to center the front cover / seal? Should the front cover bolts be left loose, torque the balancer, then tighten the front cover?
This weekend I'll pull the front cover to see if I need to drill / tap holes for the OEM timing chain damper. Also going to pull all the rockers to do the trunion install.
Thanks
Rob
