Default Tuning questions

So I just finished installing exhaust on my car and I'm hopefully getting my intake tomorrow. My question is, would a tune be worth it or does the stock ECM adjust pretty well for stuff like that?

If you want to do it yourself then go ahead, you will learn how to tune and be ready to tune your next big mods. I wouldn't pay someone else to tune a CAI and exhaust.

Is there a tutorial on "do it yourself" tuning around here somewhere?

This tuning guide is a good place to start reading.

If you don't understand the last document I recommend you read this book:

Designing and Tuning High-Performance Fuel Injection Systems - Greg Banish

http://www.amazon.com/Designing-Tuni.../dp/1932494901

Tuning requires a lot of reading and searching, it is not that hard, it is just time consuming.

Not trying to steer you away from doing it yourself, because it is always good to be quite informed and "in sync" with your vehicle. However, tuning is a full-time job in itself. It has taken me years to get to the level that I am at now for calibration, and I'm still learning things day in & day out.

With your modifications, you can have a good tuner flash-in a mail order tune that would be near perfect, take care of any codes & gain you some fuel economy, on top of the HP/TQ benefits of it.

We handle ship-in ECU services for $119 and that includes the shipping back to you!
