Default Add supercharger or crate motor?

I own a 1999 FRC 86k miles. Should I yank stock motor and put in crate Z06 or just add a supercharger till my stocker gives out?

Thanks for any advice

Depends on your car's intended use and your goals--86K is NOT a lot of miles on these engines so if it were mine i would just mod the engine you have--
No need for a new LS6 engine as the HP increase would be minimal--A combination that i have used many times
Patriot heads ( LS6)
New cam ( duration depends on wether or not you have to pass smog) if not something in the .230/.230 range at .050 is a nice streetable cam
LS6 intake
LT headers
This would get you over the 400 RWHP mark
If you decide to go with a SC you can easily add 100 RWHP to the stock engine and cam and retain the driveability and pass smog--
A SC is generally used for a street hod rod or for drag racing--If you plan on some road racing most people won't go the SC route and do hds/cam /hdrs

Thanks for the reply. Basically will be used as a street rod and terrorize other newer cars.
