I have a 2000 LS1. I got a check engine light, and lost my top gear. I was out of town, so I disconnected the battery and the car ran great to get me home. I reset the light and 2 days later got it again, and lost overdrive. According to the ol' OBD II, I got a P0758 code: Shift Solenoid B Circuit Electrical. Any chance I can get lucky and have this be a $29.00 Autozone part, or am I looking at dealer~only high dollar repairs? If this is self-replacable, where is this solenoid located? Any help would be appreciated.
