Default LS1 Tuner in South Carolina

I'm in Charleston, South Carolina and have been in desperate need of a tuner. There is one guy in our entire town who can tune LS1s and I have been trying to set up a time with him for about 8 months but he is always too busy and impossible to get a hold of. Anyways, need a tuner for my cam/header 99 vert.

If it's drivable, you might take a drive to Atlanta. There are a couple of guys there (NOT who you think) that can fix you up and will do it RIGHT!

If you can get up to Greenville, SC, you need to see the guys at They really tuned my car up. It is pushing 505 RWHP now! You can contact Mike Yeager@Eastcoast Performance 1-864-404-1776 to get the best support and tuning!

Atlanta is about 5 hours from me so that would be a 10 hour round trip! A little far but I may do that if they do good work.

They look to have a pretty good setup and are a little closer (3.5 hours)... How is $250 for pricing?

I have driven 6 hrs one way before for a good tuner before I found these guys, then learned to do it myself

$250.00 is pretty low. I think I would question what you get for that. If they REALLY get into tuning VEs and the MAF, (which you REALLY need after a cam install) then it would be very difficult to imagine how they could charge so little.
I'm in the middle of tuning my wife's car after a cam install, and I certainly wouldn't do it for anyone for $250 considering the cost of the license.

I'm going to drive to Moorseville, NC (3.5 hours) to get a tune from Alvin. What would be an average price for a street tune for a cam/ header LS1? I was not really looking for a full dyno tune seeing the car has a really common setup

I see a variety of prices, but a GOOD street tune with a wideband (includes PE tuning) usually runs between $350 and $500 from what I've seen.
A dyno tune will only take care of WOT areas unless it is a load bearing dyno. To take care of VE, MAF, shifts etc., you need to have the car tuned on the street.
BTW, WOT tuning can be accomplished without a dyno. I won't know my exact hp #s when I'm through with my wife's car, but it WILL have an optimum WOT tune

Hey man! I will HIGHLY recommend Jeff and Charles are awesome tuners and will get it right the first time. See my sig for my mods and hp. They are the best around, some other tuners could not get my Vette running right and had given up on me. Well when I took it to V8muscle.net It was awesome the first time they touched it. I wouldnt trust anyone else. cause ive been to others.

Awesome to hear that! How much HP did he tweak out of it? I let him do both a dyno tune AND a street tune. I let him keep my car for several days to get everything perfect. He really tweaked my shift points and torque converter lockup. he is the very best I have seen. Charles continues to provide follow-up support to me, long after my tune.

http://www.jamisoncustomcorvette.com/ContactUs.asp,
I live in charleston and i take my car here everytime need something done. Paid 375 for a street tune and they do dyno tunes for 500 i think. Really nice place i would def give them a call about anything to do with corvettes living in charleston, like 5 miles from airforce base

Jameson doesn't do tunes, they have a guy (jamie) do there tunes (unless something has changed recently). I tried to get in touch with Jamie for months and was unsucessful. It seemed like everytime we scheduled a time, he never came through. I finally made the drive to Greenville and got Charles to tune my car, I'm glad i did. He does great work and charges wayyyy less than your above prices.
