Default Tune after rebuild.

I had to replace my head gaskets due to a minor leak. Last night I threw the HP Tuner on to see what she was doing. Every thing looks good except the LTFT tables, they are through the roof. I have several questions for you to ponder.

98 LS1 stock heads and cam.

Mods include LG long tubes with 3" cats. O2 sims on the rear 02 locations. LS6 intake manifold with a Hall tech intake.

looked for leaks could not find any. New manifold intake gaskets and new o-rings on the injectors.

1. I heard that sometimes coolant in the exhaust will damage the O2 sensors. What kind of voltage ranges should I see? Both banks look even. just high!

2. I ran about 50 miles with normal driving and then did a couple of hot WOTs to around 125.

I don't think I have 400 miles since I finished the top end rebuild.

Seems to run pretty good as is, but I believe she can run better.

Not throwing any codes!

I am at work and don't have the numbers but the LTFTs were in the 40s and on the WOT runs the injectors were hitting 80% when pulling hard in third gear. Could not get to fourth gear, tooooo fast! I will post some voltages and trim numbers tonight.

Think I will check the fuel filter and fuel pressure, I have not done that yet.

Can you post up a log file. Typical if the O2 arent sweeping up and down (150-850 mV), it meand the O2s are dead.

Thanks Ian, The O2s are sweeping and that is about the voltage range. When I get home tonight, I will post some.

I just picked up a new fuel filter.

Had some time to work on her this weekend. I had several problems.

1. went back to a totally stock configuration. Ran some logs, LTFTs still high
2. 2400 stall converter unlocks - false misfires confirmed, fixed.
3. Disabled TQ management - works great!

4. I built a VE tuning configuration to log data for the VE tune. I don't have wide band sensing~~yet, going to see how close I can dial it in without it. May just have to break down and get wide band.

Car runs great, just rich Every thing else seems to be spot on, throws some KRs under load in third, but I think that is due to the high LTFTs and too much fuel.
