Default efi live questions

I am looking to buy the EFI live V1.2, and had a question about data logging. It seems that it comes with 2 licences.

Can you log data for more than what is registered? or is it only for the two VINS?

What is the best wideband kit to use with EFI live?

Do you run a wideband on both the left and right banks?

The EFI live scanner holds 20 min, and more than that needs a notebook? How many parameters can you look at for that 20 min?

The licensing is specific to the flash/tune part of the software. You can datalog any vehicle supported by EFiLive without using any licenses. Check their website for supported vehicles.

There are a variety of WB's out there and it comes down to personal choice and budget. I use the Innovate LM1 with serial cable. It's easy to install and works great. Single bank is more than adequate.

If you're referring to the V2 black box standalone datalogging, I recommend buying a 1g or 2g SD card that can store quite a bit of logs.

You can run quite a few parameters (or PID's as they're called) when datalogging with a laptop. There is limit when using the V2 blackbox for datalogging. They recommend 24 channels max for best sampling speed. Some PID's take more than one channel. I personally run more than that.

thanks, I am considering v1.2 as I have seen some good deals for used ones with vin license. I do want to make sure I get a wideband also. Thanks for the info
