What settings should I use to get the best shifting of my A4. I've turned off the torque management, but it still shifts way too soft, and early, for my liking.

you can adjust the line pressure to however you like it... that will firm up the shifts...

you can adjust the shift speed, to make it shift quicker...

and you can also adjust the shift points, so it doesn't shift so early on ya... just raise the rpm shift points

Thanks 06MonteSS. Anyone else? I was hoping for someone to give me exact settings that work for them.

There is no right or wrong answer here, as what settings work best for you may not be what anyone else likes...

Go ahead and add line pressure in 5 psi increments till you get it to shift as firm as you'd like. Remember there are separate adjustments for part throttle and WOT pressure.
If you want the WOT shifts to rev out a bit, raise the RPM shift points a few hundred RPM.

Does anyone have detailed information/instructions for the following parameters. Not just a definition, but more what they actaully control and how they interact with each other, as well as any other parameter that I have not listed.

Upshift MPH
Upshift MPH vs TP
Upshift RPM

I am not a fan of increasing line pressure--You can really hurt the trans by having too much pressure--it can blow the seals out--
The best way to get firm shifts is to delete the Tq mangement like you did---2nd on the "shift times" tables--set all the tables to
.20---This is for a basic quick shift----Not quite sure if a predator can do this 3rd thing but to get very firm shifts you need to take out a % to both the High and Low "force motor current " tables--leave 0 PSI alone but from the next table below on down subtract about 15% to both the hi and low tables-- These tables set how long the shift solenoids take to open--a bigger # drags out the shifts longer and a smaller # makes the soleniods snap quickly creating a firm shift-- You can keep taking some % out and it will actually bark the tires in 2nd---
Remember though firm shifts can cause u-joint-driveshaft-half shaft failures--so don't go too far---i've gone as far as a .025 # on the bottom row of the FMC tables---I would never go below this-alwysmake changes globally--And for part throttle around town shifting you may want something softer--to acomplish that just remove less % from 42 PSI on UP the tables--

tblu92,
Even though I can't do the latter stuff with the preditor in the mode where I change the parameters myself, that's the kind of response I was looking for. I changed the shift time and it helped a lot. I went a little higher than stock on the line pressure and shift firmness too, but still have a lot of wiggle room. Thanks.
