Service Column Lock: Can I turn this off in the tune?

Ok so in the two years I've had my Z06 my column has got stuck locked 1 time in which i jerked the wheel and i was good to go. The other day I was on the way to work and the service column lock message came up. It appears its stuck unlocked as car on or car off i can turn the wheels/steering wheel...I know theres a anti theft section in the tune...if i turned these off would it not throw the message up and I'll just hope it stays unlocked for the rest of my days as I hate that stupid option...every time i start the car and turn the car off i get the service column lock message thanks Kurt

I've turned em off a couple times. I know it cures the fuel cut. Not sure if it cures the DIC message or not. Don't remember.
