Quite often with a vararam you will get these issues--Are you getting any codes ?--Good news is that it is an easy fix--bad news you'll need a full tuner like HP or EFILIVE---a handheld won't do it--More than likely your fuel trims are way off- Those will have to be corrected----You may need to adjust your "desired airflow" table for In Gear--Adding a % will fix stalling and surging--A fix for a more modded car is to disable or turn off the "DFCO " system----(deceleration fuel cut-off) the jerking you may feel is the fuel cutting on/off-a vararam will alter the MAP #'s and these readings affect the DFCO--
If you have a handheld programmer or a friend does--check your fuel trims while driving and even though your check engine lite may NOT be on--you still may have codes in there--They are called "pending codes" and they could help point you in the right direction---
