Default A4 Tuning Question

Have a 2001 with some bolt on mods ( long tube headers, high flow cats, Black wing intake, etc) Had the car dyno tuned after the header install, and I am not happy at all with the way the car shifts now. Park to drive or reverse is too hard if the car is not warmed up. 1st-2nd shift is too hard at low RPMs, and very soft at WOT not exactly what I had in mind.

I think what my tuner did was just increase the shift pressure. I have been reading about many other settings like Torque management, RPM setting changes for gear holding and down shifting, and shift duration reductions etc. I think some or all of these settings would get me the results I am looking for, but it's a little confusing to me

It would be great if someone knowledgeable in this area could run down the A4 tuning options and provide me the proper settings to get a nice firm crisp shift at WOT, better down-shift response, better up-shift setting, while still giving me a comfortable shift under normal driving conditions. I would like to get a handle on this so I can have my tuner make the necessary changes.

Any Information or advice would be greatly appreciated

I am not a fan of adding line pressure--The shifts will be harsher when the trans is cold--But i never add more than 5-6% accross the Base pressure table only---and never change the tables other than make a global % change--Some people add presssure at lower TQ #'s which make the slow speed shifts bang hard---without knowing what was done one can only speculate as to what was tuned on the trans--
Also subtracting from the "force motor current" table from 0-to about 10 PSI will make it lurch forward when putting it into drive--worse even when cold--there are so many other tables to that create harsh shifting these are the most popular

I am not sure what my tuner did either. What I am going to do is have him put the car back to baseline stock and start over. Which is why I really need the proper settings to give me the desired result, which is a firm crisp shift at WOT especially 1st-2nd, and better down shift responce. Any help from people in the know would be greatly appreciated.

Best is to contact the tuner and see what they say.

I ussually set mine up alittle firmer at part throttle but the shift gets harder towards WOT.
