Default Electric fuel door switch not operating on my C-5

The fuel door switch on my 2000 C-5 is not operating and the 15 amp fuse in holder number 32 under the passengers side floor is good. Anyone else have a similar experience and how was it solved?

Have you had the center console out for any reason? remove the center console and make sure that the plug that inserts on the right hand-forward side of the console is plugged in. Usually these 2 wires are too short to hook up easily. I spiced in an additional 2 inches of length to the wires while going through a series of "shifter change-outs", because this plug was always comming loose due to the tension on the original harness. Make sure that you have 12 volts available at this plug for the door solenoid's operation.

Great info. This is exactly what the problem was with ours. Fixed in 5mins or less.
