Default Turn off CCP with HP Tuners??

Can it be done??

I ask because on my new setup, the CCP stuff in the engine bay was deleted. A 97-98 rail conversion was done and when the 99 lines were removed, the evap line went with it. So there was no line to hook up the CCP Evap solenoid, and it was left off also.

I think that this may be part of the cause for the cars minor idle hunting and random severe idle fluctuations (we were watching in HPT and for no reason other than the purge trying to function at idle the car started choking off and surging from 500-1000 RPM) as well as a minor influence on my tip in lean issue.

Anyone with some insight?

Charcoal Canister Purge. The EVAP Purge essentially.

You can do it in EFI, so I'm sure you can do it in HPT. In EFI, though, it's not called CCP, but EVAP purge.

And buy turn off, I assume you mean diable the MIL and the DTCs.

No I mean actually turn the function off. It's doing things that are causing issues because it's not hooked up.

Well, there is no enable/disable toggle in EFI, but you could set the min ECT operational temp to some really high value that the car will never see (like 284* F).

That would work. I just didn't know if there was any parameters for it in HPT. I'll take a close look with my tuner when Monday comes around.

I believe it is called "Purge Canister" in EFI Live.

don't the 92/8 cars have another canister up near the fuel line hookup sitting below the fuel rail w/ a 2 wire connector going to it?

........although that wouldn't matter running your '99 pcm, disregard
