Default Stalls after cam install

I just did VRX4 cam and Trick Flow heads on my 02 Z06 and had it tuned.. Now after I rev it up it stalls out.
It starts good and idle good just after punch the Throttle when it revs down in neutral it stalls, some times it will try to stay running and revs up to 1500rpm than drops and goes thru that cycle a few times untill it stalls. It is kinda tricky to drive coming up to a red light braking with your left foot and feathering the throttle just to keep it running!!!

What to do? The tuner couldn't get it out and said it will learn, but after 200 unsafe km it hasn't.
will it work its way out?
I did my own port and pollish job on my LS2 throttle body could be something I did?
Thanks!!

Sounds like you need to take it to a different tuner who knows what they are doing. That is not normal nor is it ok. It should not have to "learn" how to idle. That's something it should have left the shop being able to do. Seeing how your current tuner told you that, I think it's safe to say its time for someone with more knowledge to step in. You should ask around in the Canada section here for some good tuners. Good luck!

The Tuner should be able to log the car during the tranistion and pin point the problem. There are so many parameters that could effect that from Running Air flow, Throttle Cracker/Follower tables, idle timing, over/under speed timing etc.

Need a scan to assist in diagnosing first though....

If you have HPT, send me a log and a copy of your tune. I'll see if I can suggest a fix.

I had a similar problem on a 427 C5 and the fueling was the issue. Lean out 400-800-1200 cells.

Many times major mods like a hd/cam change all at once may take several trips to the tuner to correct things like idle-dying-surging-
Did he tune it before or after you installed the LS2 T-Body ???
Either way if you ported it after it was tuned I'm sure the idle could use some work---Was it a dyno tune only ??? Biggest problem with a dyno only tune is that the streetable stuff like dying/surging etc is never properly addressed unless they spend some time on the street to sort those things out---Most common tables to look at with a cam install are the "desired airflow table " "desired idle speed " " base spark in gear" " throttle follower" "DFCO (a4)---I'd give him a chance to sort it out before panicing or going elsewhere---
The learning he is most likely speaking of is the LTFT's (long term fuel trims)---Now those can be learned out usually in 50-75 miles of driving-
BUT shouldn't affect the dying or surging problem you have---unless the trims are over 25% + or - then the ECM cannot compensate enough to correct itself--- in that case you would get a DTC code though--

from the thread title i first assumed noob-status and was gonna reply "get a tune!!!"

but obviously it appears im the noob , im definetely in agreement with the other posts though that the tuner should definetely be able to take care of it!

I figured it would be STIT's and LTIT's (short and long term Idle trims ) that he would be talking about.

Isn't there a table that deals with decel off throttle? If it starts & idles fine would it really be an idle issue?

YES--I mentioned it in my 1st post--It's called DFCO-----(deceleration fuel cut-off)--DFCO is usually disabled with big cams or big T-Bodies-----This table is only applied in gear while driving and coming to a stop--or when coasting with no load (downhill)--With big cams it quite often will kill the motor--I think it is already disabled on a M6--I don't think this is his problem though because his stalls even while in P/N
