Default Charley @ RPM = MAGIC

I finally completed my head/cam/header install about 10 days ago and have been driving it locally to find any problems before I make the 5 hour trip to get it tuned. (I end up having one small rattle in the exhaust plate!)

This is the sum total of mods I added:

A used set of AFR 205's milled to 62CC with .040" cometic gaskets.
Guerra custom Comp cam: 224/230
YT Rockers/LS7 Lifters
30# SVO injectors
LG Pro long tubes with cats.
LS2 Chain

I took the car to Charley at RPM to have the tune done. He worked out the initial idle bugs and drove the car on the road for about an hour. When he came back we strapped the car on his dynomite dyno and made the first run. I was hoping for about 380 HP as my car is an auto with 3:42 gears and a Yank ST3500 stall , all of which lower the dyno numbers. After driving the car, Charley said it would be over 400!

So the first pull was 391 HP. After 2 or 3 more adjustments I ended up with 429.8 HP and 393.9 Ft Lbs of torque! All this is with the stock LS6 intake. It makes 300 Ft. Lbs at 2500 RPM and 350 at 3000 RPM!
Good thing Charleys a big guy cus I would have kissed him! I am one happy camper.

Another added BONUS! On the 320 mile trip down, I averaged 30 MPG.
I thought the DIC was wrong! I filled up and it took just under 11 gal.
On the way back I averaged 28.5! Not bad for a motor making over 500 HP! Thanks to Tony Mamo for his words of wisdom, Patrick Guerra for the cam specs, and Charley of RPM for his black box MAGIC!

Default Nice.....

That is really a great improvement with Charlie's tuning He helped me get the most out of my H/C combo a few weeks back too. I have a very similar setup:

-AFR 205 w/64cc chambers
-Cometic 0.040" Gaskets
-Patriot Perf cam 225/229/.580/.587-114
-Cadillac lifters
-hardened 7.4" pushrods
-Powerbond Pulley
-Honker air intake
-BBK Shorty Headers ($399)
-Magnaflow x-pipe and mufflers
-New ERA Ported Stock TB

Still have stock LS6 intake manifold, rocker arms, stock Z06 cats.
With additional fine tuning on Charlies dyno, my Z' reached 442 RWHP and 405 RWTQ (with a M6 trans).

You picked the right shop to get the best tuning

I am trying to stay above 11:50 as I won't put a bar in the car. I just need to stay in one class either Pro, quicker than 12:00 or sportsman which is slower than 12:00. The problem is in the Vegas heat the car will run about a half second slower from cool weather in fall and spring, to the 105+ heat of the summer.

WOW, consider yourselves lucky...I guess it helps if you are local to Charley cause he was doing a email tune for me and left me hanging big time. Glad it worked out so well for you.
