Default Help in tuning my 3.43 @ 3200 TC whith DIABLO

I just picked up my car and before leaving the shop I reprogammed for the 3.42 gear and tried to increase the rev limiter by 200 ,could not do this.
Driving home I did floor it and it did it the rev limiter..what must I do to fix this do I have to change the shift points ? ,If so what # do I put in . I expected that by selecting the correct axle ratio the predator would automaticly adjust any other required adjustment.
Also at low speed IE: 40 mph the trans , was hunthing from 3rd and fourth or was the converter unlooking in out ?
Please HELP as Im not to good at this and would need specific instruction .
PS I do refer to the instruction manual " DIABLO" but it not much help or I just dont understand the procedures to fallow.

The gear ratio parameter simply recalibrates the speedo.
I would suggest leaving the RPM upshift parameters alone, but lower the MPH shift points by about 10mph each. Why could you not raise the rev limiter? It should allow you to raise it by up to 600rpm.
The low speed issue sounds like the converter locking/unlocking. I could likely fix this in a custom tune by adjusting the TCC lockup parameters. If you would like, give me your email address and I'll send you some instructions on how to get me a copy of your stock tune so we can make you a custom tune.

Thanks
Mike

This was suposed to be easy....
I just adjusted the upshift option and decreased eacch one by 10 mp
1 to 2 from 46 to 36
2 to 3 from 93 to 83
3 to 4 was at 160 max on the scale and would not come down.
Rev limlter again select option and nothing.
I saved the modifications to the shift point and started the car to go for a road test.
Now all the worning lights in the dash are on the ser. tire mon. sys is also on the screan and I cant cancel it..I never saw this warning before.
I still took it out for a run ... now I notice that the speedo , tach ,and all gages dont work and I still hit the rev limiter
Man this is so so frostrating its getting worst when it should get better...... and I was so impressed when I had put in the performance tune. Im sure that we will rectefy the problems,s, ag ain Help !

Sounds like something was done improperly.
I will email you the instructions now.
For the mean time, go back and select 'reset all parameters'.
Then, set the gear ratio back to 3.42 and make no other changes until I can get you a new tune.
When you send me the copy of the stock file, include all mods done to your car and let me know how high you would like the rev limiter set.

Thanks
Mike

Well I did get my custom tune the car runs much better. The only brobable issue is the transmission shifting slowly at low speed and also the TC takes some time to lock up.
That said at WOT it now shifts great right at 6000 RPM and on the highway the TC stays locked up and at 80 MPH it revs at 2400 RPM right were it should be.
As for the TC it had to be tuned "through the TCC" I was told by some members that the TC did not require tuning / adjustment great for them but mine had to be reprogrammed.
As for getting a custum tune for the diablo it was very simple, I had a good buddy that did all the downloading and forwarding of files and all sorts of stuff such as get proper cables and AC adapters thank good for my friend as I would not been able to do this.
Cost for custum tune...an often asked question on this forum but I never saw an answer from the Diablo people, I never asked the price and was never told that there were any costs AND THERE ARE NONE it is part of the service you get when buying this product.
My car certainly runs better maybe I have to get used to it and I certainly did not expect it to run as stock after these mods.
My mechanic will take it for a test ride and will give me his opinion on the shifting and TC issue if any ?
I can only praise this product and the people who provide the support for it......I slept much better last night
Thanks MIKE

I am running into the very same issue with my 04 with 3.42 gears. I have a message on the Diablo forum that Mike L is working on for me. I am afraid that I will also need a customer tune since it looks like I can't acheive what is needed from my predator. I think it may be that I have an old version of the software.

Try modifying the custom tune by raising the 3>4 upshift vs. rpm table.
If you cant get it, we'll try another tune.

Thanks
Mike

I would love to attemp this BUT your manual as no clear instructions on how I should do these modifications. Also I was expecting the rev limiter to be modified to 6200 -6300 RPM with the costum tune this was not done...I did not attempt to do it again as in my previous attemps I could not get ..after 2 tries a table were as per your comment that I could increase the rev limiter by up to 600 rpm. Instructions please.
Thanks .
