Default Passing emissions with modified motor

Would an LS1 that has been modified with heads and cam package, headers, exhaust, gutted cats and a performance tune still pass an emissions test? The testing we have here plugs in to the cars computer. It wont go on the rollers and be sniffed since it is to new. They do a physical check to see if the cats are there. My concern is that when they plug the emisions computer in it will tell that the car has been modified and fail it. Is that something to be concerned about? This is a pre purchase question from a prospective buyer.

We have OBDII plug in here in Illinois and if the tune is right, then you should pass. I just went through this and passed..........and I don't have cats on my car. They didn't ask if I had cats though. It's all in the tune.

My car has a supercharger on it and other mods, so I'd think that yours would pass.

Good Luck!

If the tune is right you'll be fine.
