Default Predator won't turn off CAGS???

I just bought a new Diablo Sport Predator for my 03' Z06 and downloaded the tune. Then I adjusted the fan temps and went in to CAGS option. I chose turn skip shift off but it still does the 1 to 4 shuffle. Anybody have a clue?

Did you reinstall the tune after making the modification?

If you installed the performance tune, you should have CAGS automatically turned off. When i had one, that is what happened.

Is it possible that you unintentionally turned it back on?

I tried it right after the download and it did show CAGS to be off. But when I drove it it was still there. I did install the tune after the modifications. I tried it again today and I don't know if it did this before but when i go from a dead stop then the low rpm 1 to 4 kicks in. If I let off the throttle in first and go back below 1500rpm or if I downshift from another gear and drop it below 1500rpm the skip shift does not come on. Was it that way before the tune? I honestly never tried it. Today I remodified the skip shift off and downloaded the tune. When I firs went up the street no CAGS. But on my way back after I stopped it was there again.

Not sure about this one, but if you can't get it to disable, send me a copy of your original backup and I will have a tune made to disable the CAGS for you.

Thanks

Mike,

How do I do that? I got a computer link with my Predator. The second question is do you know of a custom tune that I can buy without going to a Custom Tuner? The nearest one from me is about 3hrs away. I have VaraRam ram air intake, LP long tube headers, Borla off-road x-pipe, and Borla Stinger x-pipe back.

Thanks.

I will have the new tune made to support the mods you have.
I'll email you instructions on Monday on how to save a copy of the backup.

Thanks
Mike

I have to ask this question that many of us are thinking....Did you install the Vararam, the Headers, and the Borla System yourself? Do you know that there is a simple plug in installation that cancels the CAGS?

I bought the car with everything but the predator. It was running a little rich so i needed a mild tune which is why I bought the Predator. I Know the CAGS can be defeated with a simple resistor from Radio Shack and some electrical tape but the Predator should take care of it. Thanks for the question though.

Mike??

That isn't very important since Mike fixed it promptly. Not to mention the fact that he threw in a custom tune for my bolt ons. That's called exceeding customer exspectations and I will highly reccommend Diablo Sport to anyone I know!!!!
