Not true. You can hook up to the cars PCM via the OBDII port and use software like HP Tuners or EFI Live to reprogram PCM parameters for improved performance.

You can only change the engine size via the secret code.

True - just get the DIC in programming mode, enter the PFM table, and press $$$$$ - then exit. Your wallet will be empty and your Vette will be fast.

PFM - Pure F'in Magic.

He might be referring to the "competitive mode" with the TC. In the 01 and later you can hold down the TC button for 5 sec. or so and it put it in “competitive mode”. This mode is preferred for racing since it leave traction control off but the stability control is on which helps to keep you in your lane if things get wild. Just thought I would put my 2 cents in since this is what I thought he was referring to.

Even with the programers, the results will be minimal unless you have modded your engine.

It is so true! You also need a Tech 2, which I have. If you hook it up in the proper sequence and go into the DIC, you can access performance mode in the computer. I gained 75 rwhp! Only took three minutes.

YOURS DIDNT WORK RIGHT. i got almost 90 by doing that the biggest part was the increased mileage that went with it. seems to have more volume to the stk bose system too

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, B, A

It wont give you more power, but if you crash your car it will appear in the garage good as new the next morning.

Contra and Life Force come to mind, maybe others. It got you 29 lives instead of 3.
It was for some of the Konami(sp?) games.

This probably what you heard about. All sorts of options, you just need
to find out what is avail. and what suits your needs. Only thing I can
tell you, the more perf. you want the more it costs.

Yup, Contra for sure... A lot of Konami games also shared this code or a similar code.
