Set 1-2 shift at 40 MPH and 2-3 shift at 80 MPH. That should be very close.

The full blown Tunning software like HP & EFILIVE doesn't command shifts solely by MPH--So our settings wouldn't help --We have 2 tables that command shifts --1 is shift at vehicle speed (VSS) and the 2 is shift at RPM---the car has to reach both settings in order to command a shift---for example you can set the 1-2 shift (VSS )at 43 MPH and the shift at RPM at 6200 ---until you hit the 2nd parameter(shift at RPM) it won't shift---you have to hit both in order to command a shift---the handhelds aren't programmed this way--so we would just have to guess at it --I would think that the above mentioned settings would be close--however it is much better to program with the RPM shift as with your handheld you have no way of knowing what the RPM's will be when it shifts --might be 7000--so be careful--make sure you set the safety rev limiter at 6400 or so

Oh yeah--the stock shift at RPM setting on a 98 is 6000 at 1-2 / 5900 at 2-3 /5900 at 3-4--don't know how you ended up with 4600----

Not sure what handheld you're using here, but the same theory applies with the Predator as mentioned above. Basically the mph setting is the minimum speed required to command an upshift which will happen at the RPM you have set.
Where do you have the rpm settings at now?
Have you recalibrated the speedo for the 3.42 gears, as i don't think they came stock, right?

Thanks
Mike
