Default Check Engine Light PC Code

I have a 1998 Corvette with 22K miles. I recently installed Mid-America's Complete Ram Air Intake System with the high flow mass air sensor. Soon afterwards I began to get an intermittant check engine light. I ran the PC Codes and got P0171/2, "fuel trim system lean." The light will come on for a couple of days then go off for a couple of days. Is the computer confused by the increased volume of air? Can someone help me understand what's going on? Any help would be very much appreciated.

A lean code means your car is running leaner than the PCM can compensate for, it could also mean that you have an air leak somewhere. If I were a betting man, I'd be betting on the latter. Double-check all of your airbridge connections and make sure you don't have an air leak.
