Default Tuning for New 402.....

I am making changes to my engine and want to know if anyone has any information toi help me to get it started. Once its running ok and engine is broken in, I will have it dyno tuned. I and going from a 346 to a 402, 78mm FAST to A 90mm TB and FAST intake, Cam is changing from a 224/228 113 LS and a 568/571 lift to a 242/250 111 LS +4 and a 590 lift, GMPP Lingenfelter Heads changed to AFR 225's. I have Tuner Cat so I can make simple changes to the PCM but I dont want to ruin this engine during the break in period. Are there any parameters I should change for any of these modifications??

Yes, get a wideband, and make sure you don't run it too rich at idle, resulting in cylinder wall scratching.

The engine will 1st be started at a dyno shop, if its started on the dyno does that mean they can hook it up to it?

Did you change injectors? If you did, you will want to set the injector flow rate. This is one of the things that can cause you to run rich, and as mentioned above this can be bad during the break-in period. Just watch the AFR with a wideband and make sure you are in a 'safe' range (14-15:1). I assume the dyno shop will just put a light load (MAP < 50kPa) at ~1400RPM and let her heat cycle a few times. That should do the trick.

Yes, be sure you have injectors big enough to sustain the new fuel requirement and that they are initally set properly into the IFR. Either that or tiptoe to the tuners without WOT runs. It would be best to run it in a bit before the dyno though.

I plan on breaking in the engine gently without going over 1/2 throttle with the stock 28.9 lb injectors. I have 60 lb. Motrons but I dont want to risk dumping too much fuel and washing the rings.

I will be finishing my LS2 402 install next week. I also am putting the stock injectors on for starting it,until I get it on the dyno.It should fire right up with the stock tune. Like see5 said in above post no WOT runs. Then comes the 60 Motrons and the D1SC@15psi

You can start it with the bigger injectors just make sure you have the correct Injector Flow Rate input first.
