Default EASE or AutoEnginuity Scan Tool

I tried this in the C4 section with limited feedback. Hopefully with more than one year of OBDII in this section there will be more opinions.

I'm looking for an OBDII scan tool with enhanced data and the ability to perform bi-directional controls. Both EASE and AutoEnginuity scan tools seem to have the capability. I'm looking for opinions on the two to help me decide which tool to purchase. Can anyone lend some feedback based on personal experiences or other suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I have used the EASE for several years. Several times I have performed the Case Learn and other procedures on my and others cars. Also I can run a scan for over 20 minutes and at the 40 frames per sec rate.

I am not sure of the AE scan rate, but when you are measuring several PIDS, if the scan rate is not fast enough, not all the PIDS get refreashed correctly during a short scan. Finally, the EASE can be expanded to monitor all ten of the control modules on the C5 where the AE is limited to the PCM module. You could buy the all modules that make up the TECH 2.
