Default c5 z06 tranmission problem

The other day I was doing some spirited runs on the highway when my tranny got stuck in 6th....I pumped the clutch a few times and it came out...ever since then the tranny has been acting up....whenever i get into 3rd gear at a higher rpm it grinds badly, but at a lower rpm its fine....

does this sound like the snychros are ****ed up, or something else??? my buddy thought the clutch might need to be bled. Any help would be appreciated.

sounds like it may be a shift fork problem, swap the fluid in the clutch m/c

your best bet would be to call Rodney or Todd www.rpmtransmissions.com

Since you probably don't have a remote bleeder, it is going to take two of you.

The bleeder is on the top left side of the torque tube where it meets the bellhousing. Think it's a 11mm.

Also you can use a turkey baster and suck up the fluid in the reservoir and replace with some fresh fluid.

If that does not fix it for you then drop the inspection cover and check to see if your clutch if fully releasing (air gap).
