Did a search, but can't find any info on it.

Default Don't use it!!!

I tried one. Made the car run poorly and slower. POS, try the Predator tuner. Works good. Best of the handheld tuners.

there are better tuners out there other than the Predator, but IMO the Predator is the best "handheld" unit available.

The better more-capable non handheld varieties require a laptop computer.

Performance tune
adjust shift points using mph
adjust shift firmness in increments of 25%
Adjust tire sizes for speedo, also had a setting for your speed rating on the tire

Does a few other things I can not remember them all anymore. I gained close to 2 tenths in the qtr mile ET. It will not scale for gear changes no matter what the directions say. Although I think it may work for a 2.73-3.15 swap. I liked it but next time around I would buy the predator.

It says the camaro setting can be adjusted to a 4.10 gear but for some reason the corvette can`t be adjusted. But you can beat that by calculating a different tire diameter in to get the speedometer back on track if you go to a 3.73 or 4.10 on the vette.

No you can not use the hypertech for a 3.73 or a 4.10. According to Hypertech the only gear scaling it will do in the C5 is for stock ratio's. So in effect the only time it would work is for a 2.73-3.15. A 3.42 in an auto can not be scaled correctly because it is not a stock rear for the auto, and the M6 only comes with one rear end ratio the 3.42. The gear change will not affect the speedo, but you do need to reprogram or scale for the new rear end ratio or it will throw codes.

I called hypertech and I believe Mike Mercury called them also. Tim (mike mercury) correct me if I am wrong here, you know more about it than I do.

there is no speedometer error when changing rear gear ratios on the C5.

and yes; the HPIII does fail at gear scaling on the C5 (anything past the 3.15 ratio). Hypertech admits the errror, ands says they will do nothing to correct it. Their method works on F-Bodies just fine, but not the (somewhat) unique C5.

I stand corrected, I was assuming that when I put in some 4.10`s(haven`t yet) that I could play with the tire size (with the hypertech)till I got it corrected. Thanks for the info.
