Default Will Diablo Hurt a A4?

Will the Diablo Performance tune hurt the powertrain at all? I know the website says it will not, but it seems the performance tune increases the shifting stresses on my A4. Can the A4 take it over time if I drive w/ "spirit" ? Anyone been using this tune and have a lot of spirited miles on the public road or private track?

I would not max out the pressure or the shift speed (on mine i just went +5 on pressure and -5 on speed). I might try +10/-10 later on. I only had mine installed for 2 mo now, so its too early to tell. I was wondering if the lack of TM would cause a problem in the long run. When i get on mine now - when second gear hits at WOT it slams me back and then i loose traction (sometimes the rearend will kick out if its on a on-ramp that’s curved). That cant be good if you do it everyday for couple of years.

Has anyone run with TM off for a couple of years and had problems with tranny? If so - do you race? And what kind of problems?

I use LS1 edit so I don't know what +or - 5 means but suffice to say that if you add as little as 5% shift pressures you'll feel the shifts (which most like) and as reported to me by a well known trans shop that's just fine.

As for TM. Many have ideas in either direction but eliminating it really wakes the car's responsiveness up and I've seen no degredation in any transmission related to TM being disabled. Transmissions fail for a number of things -- mostly high temperatures. When you add 100hp at the crank, sure the transmission will fail earlier than if you have left everything alone (stock).....but that's no fun is it?
