Default Gas and Trunk Latch Problems...

I posted this a couple weeks ago and never got a response. So...I am going to throw it out to all of you wonderful people one more time and see if there is a simple fix before I take it to the stealer. I am having problems with my trunk/gas hatches not opening when I press either the button in the car or when I use the fob. The trunk will eventually work, but i have to press it about 100 times from either the switch inside or on the fob. Thing with the fob is that I cannot be near the car when i press it. I have to be standing at least 10 feet away from the car. All the other buttons work on the Fob from close up as well as far away. Here is the real kicker...when I finally get the trunk open all the lights inside the car flicker really fast (like strobe lights) until I close it again. As for the gas hatch, it runs along the same lines. I will open eventually but I find myself at the gas station looking like an idiot with a nice car. There also is a wierd light problem when i press the release switch for the gas cap. When I press it and it doesn't open, just the rear trunk lights come on. It is a really wierd problem and I hope that you all can provide me with a simple solution. Thanks in advance and sorry it was so long.

I think i replied to your thread.I had the same thing when i was buying my car 4 years ago.The trunk and gas lid would not open,on the coupe you can pull the cord under the carpet to open the gas door.
I said i wouldn't buy the car until it was fixed. They hooked up the tech 2 scanner, and the BCM was bad.(Body control module),the fixed it and all was fine,i think the BCM was around $700 at that time, hard to remember since they paid to fix it.
Hope this helps.
Pull your codes,it's probably right there in the codes.
