Default AFR guage wired into stock system

Wich is better the set ups that wire into the stock system or the ones like the dynojet kit.there is one for sale on the forum I will buy if it will work.does anyone have experience with this stuff?

if I understand you correctly...

the stock O2 sensors are narrowband. Great for non-racing AFR readings but are not sensitive enough to check WOT AFR. Most aftermarket AFR meters are made for wideband O2 sensors that have a 0-5 volt output (narrowband sensors output 0-1 volt).

I think he is asking if the wide band sensor can be installed inplace of the narrow band O2 sensor and can be made to work with the stock system and also have the functionality of the wide band recording device.

You can go either way but I personally wanted to keep my WB and NB functions separated in case the WB failed. That way, I would be left stranded somewhere trying to find and install a replacement NB.

Most of the WB setups will emulate your NB O2 sensor so you can replace the stock unit with the WB and get both NB and WB functions simultaneously. It's not always easy to get the NB function working smoothly. I installed a PLX 250 WB setup. Here's a link to my installation.
