Default Installed maf translator.Runs Great but ltft's are high

Ive been having problems with my car not running up to par since i had mti do some work.I took it into my own hands to get the tranny shifting correctly but i never got as much power as i thought i could.I installed a maft and did a relearn and WOW>I think i may have leaned it out too much but im getting NO kr at all.Problem is my ltft's are 15 and 13.What is a possible problem that could make it run thid much better with this high of trims?

I used a MAFT on my car for a while and if my memory is serves me correctly there are 2 adjustment knobs one for cruise or idle(closed loop) and one for WOT (open loop). It gets kinda tricky since the two adjustments interact. You need to get the fuel trims reading between 0 and -6 during closed loop operation first. So since your fuel trims are at +15 turn the first knob in the rich direction. It would be nice to have an air/fuel meter or a dyno to verify which way to adjust the second knob while running the car at WOT. You will need to put at least 100 miles on the car after a gas fillup under a variety of conditions to get the fuel trims stable. I usually view the fuel trims cruising steady at 60 or 70 on the hiway and also at an idle.

Why did you install the MAFT? What about LTFT before installing it?
I used to have one of them without wideband: WOT tuning is just a guess.
Closed loop is ok.
Also the MAFT is known to have a "lean hole" at 4000-5000 rpm.
You can modify it adding a capacitor (there is a description at vetteguru.com).
I did it, it helps but it will never be perfect.
I ended up buying LS1 Edit and a WB and I really don't regret it.
