Default throttle body spacer (please read)

has any body tried this out on there cars? mid-america calls this a performance plate in there catalog and it installs between the the throttle body and the intake manifold . does it help, it says that it adds hp but i thought i would ask some of you first .
so please leave feed back thank you

I sure is not something you hear about, let alone raves. I does not sound like something that solves a known problem.
How is that for being unbiased?

It’s hard to say how much it helps. I picture spacer like small velocity stack. It may/should increase velocity before it dumps into plenum.

How much does it help? I would say not much. An aftermarket air-bridge will get you more and it’s dyno proven.

I have a throttle body spacer. It came with the BBK 80mm throttle body kit I ordered from Mid America. If you install a spacer, you also have to do some modifications to your power steering pump (I think that was the component...been a long time since I installed the spacer). I remember that with the spacer installed, the trottle body was bumping into one of the other accessories, so that had to be moved forward as well. All of the parts came in the BBK kit to do this. Don't know about performance gains, since I did the entire intake at one time.
