Default FS: 4 18x10.5 CCW's and race rubber

I picked up a new set of racing wheels, so my 18x10.5 racing CCW's are for sale. They are silver/polished.

2 are Z06 stock backspace (8"), and two are 8.25". Both pairs are legal for an SS Z06, or work *great* on all four corners of an ASP or SM2 C5 'vette. One set has the extra lightening holes, and are around a pound or so lighter than the other.

They've been around the block a bit, and had their share of mountings & unmountings so they're not pristine. They look perfect from 10 feet or 10mph, but up close, have some scratches here and there - they are racing wheels, after all. If you are super finicky about the look of your car, these probably aren't for you. If you want a set of light/strong racing wheels, or some nice looking wheels for the street at a good price, then I'd say they are.

Lots of pictures here: http://www.jakelatham.com/c5/forsale/

They'll come with 4 305/30-18 V700 Ecstas that have about 20-30 Solo2 runs left in them, if you're wanting to get the feel of race rubber to start, but don't want to drop the $.

Asking $1,300 plus shipping/OBO with the tires, mounted and ready to go. Would be willing to split and sell pairs for $650 if that's a route you'd like too.

See pictures posted in the URL a bit down lower in the thread

Cheers!
-Jake

I'll just post 'em so everybody can see:

www.jakelatham.com/c5/forsale/

anything starting with "DSC" is an image of the wheels. I cleaned them up a bit to get all the brake dust off. The images don't seem to show the little polish scuffs the wheels have, but that should tell you how the wheels are still quite reasonable overall.

e-mail me with any interest or offers, and I'll respond when I get back.

Cheers!

Could these be used on only the rear, if I wanted to have the spares with some drag radials mounted? I'm asking because I don't know that nuch about offsets on these. I have the CCW "Big Roller" package on now, but wouldn't mind having a set with DR's on them.

How far will these wheels stick out of the wheel well considering the back spacing?

OK...back from Florida.

My Impression of Floridians in a hurricane:

my take on Hurricane Charley:

Anyhoo, to answer some questions:

Yes, both pairs of wheels would work very well as rears - think of how stock wheels look on a Z06, and you've got it - since the sizes are the same.

In the front, they don't stick out, they are about flush with the fender, I would guess. I run a little over 2* of negative camber, so mine tuck in a little bit.

Here are some pictures back when I first got them, hopefully those will give you a bit of an idea.

http://www.jakelatham.com/c5/projects/ccws/ (to clarify, those pictures show old Hoosiers on the wheels, and not the Kumho Ecstas that are currently on there - didn't want to scare anybody )

currently have a few offers at the above asking price. I believe I've responded to all e-mails, and in the order they were received etc etc - PM or e-mail me if you've sent me something and I've not replied.

Cheers!

Will you be willing to separate them? Which one has the 8" back spacing and which one has 8.25"? If the heavier of the 2 has the Z06 (8") back spacing I would be interested.

Might be willing to separate them, as I have a friend locally who is interested in one pair as well.

Drop me an e-mail, and if the few other folks interested drop out, I bet we can work something out.

Cheers!

TTT

few more hi-res pictures posted in the directory above. Deal pending w/ J.R, and then 2 others on the list, I think.

J.R. decided to fix his A/C instead of buying wheels, so the list is down to Cajun, I believe.

Still trying to avoid separating, but if there aren't any current offers for all four, I'll consider selling them in pairs, with the tires.

Cheers!

Nick -

I don't believe I saw a message from you yesterday, I will dig around on our mailserver and see if it got caught in a spam filter somehow.

Cajun passed up (looking for "show" quality), and next on the list was Perry, to whom I believe the wheels are tentatively sold. If not, then I believe you're next on the list

Nick -

I still couldn't find a message from you, I am guessing it got deleted off of the server.

try mailing me at jake.latham@gmail.com - the latest buyer also had to back out. Not sure if we'll be able to get them to you in time for early next week though?

-Jake
