Best of all, you can install them without having to go to a larger front wheel.

Wilwood applies the technology learned in 26 years of racing experience to these high performance street and track brake kits for C-5’s. Delivering high performance with style, Wilwood’s Big Brake kits are the perfect upgrade for any C-5 Corvette enthusiast. Easy installation, these new front and rear kits bolt up to 1997 – 2003 C-5 spindles and hubs.

In the front, billet Superlite 6 Piston Calipers clamp two-piece 13.06” diameter rotor assemblies that are vented, drilled and slotted and mounted to aluminum alloy hats. Rear kits are equipped with Superlite 4 Piston Calipers, two-piece 12.90 iron rotor/hat assemblies that retain the OE parking brake assembly. Both kits fit 2000-2003 C-5, ZO6 and most aftermarket wheels and are compatible with the OE master cylinder and ABS.

So essentially if the wheel currently fits over stock brakes, it will fit over these? Do they offer less/more or the same clearance as the stockers? I want to be positive they would fit with my 18x10 and 18x11.5 wheel setup.

Also whats the pricing look like?

Yep, I saw this when I checkd out the product. This is why I asked what LAPD's plans for pricing. I assume they are doing something other than just passing on Wilwood's retail pricing, although no criticism from me if they do.

These brakes will fit perfectly on Y2K and up 5 spoke wheels stock sizes and stock Z06 wheel sizes.

Can we order these slotted, but not cross drilled? The cross drilled rotor crack too easily with track use. sj

I am sure we can specify slotted only and not drilled for you. I will contact our rep at Wilwood to make sure we can order them that way.

If we can get a GP going on these brake kits and if we can secure at least 7 orders, we can offer these at around: $3500.00 plus shipping for the entire kit.

Wilwood stainless steel brake lines are also available at: $79.95 if we offered them on the GP.

Are you sure they'll fit with Y2k wheels with no spacer? :confused: I have the SL6-R calipers on my car at the moment, and had to go to Z06 wheels because the Magnesium wheels I had wouldn't fit these brakes without a 3/4" :eek: spacer. The Y2k wheels also need a spacer although not nearly as much as the magnesiums. I believe the Z06 wheels are the only ones that are a straight fitment with no spacer. :yesnod:

Wilwood has tested them out on a C5 and on a Z06 and they both work perfectly with the Y2K wheel and the Z06 wheel in stock sizes up front.

Can we get plain, non-slotted non-drilled rotors? How thick are the rotors? How much do replacement rotors cost?

Are these the "GT" road-race rotors or the street "SRP" ones?

Is this a "road-race" kit with the SL6/ST calipers w/ the better pistons/etc?

What pads are included? How much are new pads?

Wilwood doesn't know if the 6 piston front calipers will clear the magnesium wheels because they never tested that wheel out since there are far more Y2K and Z06 wheels out there over the magnesiums.

At this time, we can't verify that they will fit the magnesium wheels or not.

Here are the answers to your questions straight from our Willwood rep:

The rotors are only available in the GT "slotted" style or the SRP "drilled & slotted" style.

The fronts are 1.25" thick & the rears are 1.00" thick. The "SRP" are street, casual driving only. The GT is the performance rotor which you can run on the street and for road racing, track day events, etc.
Retail on the rotors is $238.20 front or rear, GT or SRP.

The calipers are not the SL6/ST calipers. It is a new, narrow SL6 caliper with Billet stainless pistons in them.

We supply the Polymatrix Ceramic "Q" pads with the SRP kits and the Polymatrix "E" compound for the GT kits. They retail for $90.00 per axle set for the "Q"'s & $78.00 per axle set for the "E"'s.

Are you certain these will work with CCW 18x10.5 front and 18x11.5 rear rims? I have found that due to the offset CCW builds these wheels, most Big brake packages will not work.
