Just Found a 1998 Indy Pace Car Hood Decal. Discontinued by GM They were selling on Ebay for as much as 3500.00 when you could find them. I have one that is For Sale. The cost is 895.00 plus shipping. I take money orders,or Paypal. If paypal is used please add 3%. WOW! That's a rare find...I know several people were looking for them.
What's the part number on this item? I've thought about a custom project and decided against it since I couldn't get the part.

Pretty good profit for whoever bought it original, but hey, I suppose you can't get them anywhere else...

Maybe a few of us could go in together and send it to a vinyl shop to have it reproduced? If anyone else is interested, I may buy this from the guy and try to help everyone out...

Ok-- Pace there are Two part numbers because there is a Left and Right side. The Left side part number is 10405304 an the Right ide part number is 10405305. I have Taken These to a custom Graphics place and they cannot be duplicated that easily beause of the layers and layer of paint and how it was put together. (very very complicated). Let me know what you guys would like to do. They go to EBAY on Monday. Thanks for looking. They will be starting at my asking price (895.00) with a buy it now of 995.00. :smash: :thumbs:

RPOZ0Z (?) was looking extensively for a set several months ago when he wanted to put on a new hood. I don't know his final outcome, but knew he was having trouble finding any or anyone to make any.

I would be interested too in knowing where a "lifetime supply" of all decals for my pace car can be found.

If you run the part numbers through a GM parts locator it comes up with a few dealers and Stencils and Stripes, a company out of Illinois I believe. I am pretty sure they still run adds in most of the car enthusiest magazines. I hope this helps... :D :D :D :D :cheers:

I tried running it through the dealer locater at KERBECK and the 2 dealers that they said had them do not have them any more. That was one of the first things that I tried to no avail. :smash:

Obviously Stencils and Stripes does reproduction stripes and decals for all kinds of makes and models. I would try them and see if they don't offer these as well. From the locator, they have them available, but I have not checked for myself either. :cheers:

Hey guys!

stencels and stripes does not have them!

I got my hood decals from keen parts, they're getting them from the orginal manufacturer of the '98 Pace Car decals (and '95 Pace Car decals), these decals are original, not reproductions, they will sell them until the supply runs out, THEN reproduce them.

they cost $300.00 for both hood decals.

Ok, I just returned them (got lucky check was not cashed yet) was going to get royally ripded off. I called Keen the price is now 400.00--RPO these are OEM-- How can he get OEM hood decals and No one else in the entire industry can-- Don't you think this is a little strange? Let us know Thank :confused: :confused:

He is getting them from the manufacturer of the decals, they still have a supply of them.
GM has discontinued carrying them, when the supply of original decals runs out, tom keen said that they may start reproducing them, he also said that they are talking with the manufacturer about reproducing the '95 pace car decals (they also made them originally) :cheers:

If he is getting them direct from the manufacturer why can't we do that. I think GM has a license for 10 years which, would mean they have around 7 years remaining. The manufacturer would not be able to sell them for 7 more years to the public. If by chance he is, is he violating the license agreement with GM by selling them to an outside source. That would mean any private Chevy Dealership should be able to do the same thing-- Am I correct on this guys let me know-- THanks :confused:
