Just to clarify for anyone looking.

So did you remove the clear coat and polish the bare metal on these? Is that what we're seeing?

These are original GM speedlines that I believe were always painted ???? So on these because I mistakenly though that they were magnesium i stripped off the paint and polished the ALUMINUM as seen in the pictures. A lot of time and labor that I didn't want to spend as I have a car that I need to finish. If I hadn't started the stripping process I should have just prepared for painting original GM color.

Oh I'll bet . I've polished my CCWs a few times.

The wheels look awesome! To whoever buys them.... now instead of having chipped paint if to rash them you can just polish out the rash like it was never there.

And to fully answer about the process the wheels have been polished coated with Avalon King ceramic coating. Now I have never used ceramic but many videos on YouTube swear by it. I bought into the idea that the abuse wheels take it would be better to finish with ceramic coat that won't chip, rust, scratch, peel like paint, chrome or clear coat might do.

Has worked great on my CCWs for sure. Just reapply periodically.
