dont' want to hijack the thread, but this is the first time in or since forever that I've heard someone declare that a tech2 is all it takes to "correct" mileage.

I mean you could just swap out gauges from a lower mileage car... but its illegal and immoral, plus you have things like carfax to catch people running back the miles. You could also look at some of the run times in the engine ECU to get an idea or just how much wear the car has. Anyways, any competent dealer should be able to program this for you pretty easily.
