I am interested in buying an engine computer (Electrical control Module)/(Electrical Control Unit),I have a 1997 Automatic and have been told mine is bad so I'm in search of a replacement.

I think I have one that will work for you. It came out of a '98 A4 car. My understanding is that '97 & '98's were the same but I'm not certain of that. I am away from home until Mid February. If you don't find one by then call me at 513-673-5735. JD

Yes from what I've been told 97 & 98 are the same. If I don't find before you get back yes I would buy yours from you.
