WTB: Wheels and EBCM
I just bought my first Corvette! But it has the ugly wagon wheels and a bad EBCM.. I got a really good deal and it's a perfect car so I bit the bullet on the EBCM, but the hunt for one begins now! I'd like chrome Z06 wheels. I'd prefer C6 but like C5 as well, let me know what's available, price, and if you'd ship to Louisiana. Thanks!

I've got a set of polished 2000 (these are the thin spoke forged factory wheels, hard to find) in very nice condition. No pitting at all. With center caps and run flats with Tire Pressure Monitors (all work). Run flats are about done but you might get a few thousand highway miles out of them still. $800 for the package. Private message me if you are interested. I will ship for you but you would have to cover cost.
Might I suggest checking with forwardair.com and seeing if there is a terminal near you. I would (or whatever wheels you buy) drop them off on a palate at the station here and they arrive on your end a day or so later. I've shipped arcade machines and pinballs across country that way for cheap. HTH,
Cassidy

I've got an EBCM I can sell you. It is for 97-2000 C5s without active handling (has a big letter "M" on the top). I can sell it to you for $850 shipped guaranteed for 30 days if you are interested.
Thanks,
Mike

I'm pretty set on the chrome C6 Z06 wheels, my coupe is torch red and I think they'll look the best. Thank you for your offers. My car is non active handling and doesn't have the Z51 package, so thats a "M" EBCM, correct?
Mike I'm going to attempt to find one cheaper first (although I probably won't lol) but I'm certainly keeping you in mind, that's a fair deal for sure!!!

Just a note on the EBCM.....the model years will go from 97-2000 and then 2001-2004. The guy that bought from RockAuto (great place to buy parts, by the way) was probably for an '01 up model year. You will not be able to interchange from newer years.

Thank you! i've found that out from research on this site, and I've decided to do the small trouble shooting first before I pull the trigger on a pricey used EBCM. Don't need ABS here in Louisiana anyway! lol

I'm right there with you since i'm in TX, but those lights are annoying and I still have other things to troubleshoot. I have a TR FRC and think you are onto something with the z06 wheels. They'll look great on yours!

While the older (97-00) modules are technically not serviceable, you can indeed reflow solder to pass through pins and pop the square caps off of the relays and clean the points up with 1000 grit sandpaper. I have restored two of them doing that. Just a thought.
If you do get the ABS message while driving, you can clear the code WHILE driving (or at a stoplight for safety's sake) and let the system retest. Several cycles like that often clears the code as well because it causes the pump to activate and run.
There are far more technical people on here than me but I have owned three 2000's and dealt with this issue several times. I am guessing with wagon wheels your car is one that has the ABS module in the back. They are supposed to stay dry and cool, so let's mount it by the wet roads next to the mufflers....great design!

Update
Well I have the C1255 and C1243 codes on my car, doesnt look like I'll gave time to troubleshoot her... but I got my new wheels and tires on!
I installed the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport tires and so far it's a night and day difference!! However I had dry rotted Goodyears on there and i've only logged 15minutes of driving so I'll have report back with real impressions once I've really pushed the car and autocrossed it!!
