Long story short, performance shop thought it was the rear axle making noise so I bought a new one. It didn't fix the problem once changed so they replaced all the wheel bearings and presto, no more noise. So no labor charged and free wheel bearings even though I told them I'd pay. Owner said it was their fault and sorry I bought new diff when it wasn't the problem. So now I have this rear axle I need to sell. 63,000 miles out of a very mildly driven 2000 automatic. It's heavy but shipping shouldn't be too bad. 3.15 performance axle made by Getrag. $400.00 plus shipping from 72712. I'll get pics up tomorrow when I get to my office.
forgot to mention, when I bought my 2000 I changed all fluids over to royal purple. Other than the fluid change and then the removal that's the only time the diff has been touched.
